Nail Technology Training
Learn Nail Technology Training
Not many of us visit a spa without having a pedicure and/or manicure. In recent years the nail technology industry has sky rocketed. More and more patrons and at an earlier age are spending dollars monthly to keep their nails in tip top shape. Nail technology training is available at all beauty or cosmetology schools. A stand alone program is available for the cosmetologist who is only interested in doing nails and has little interest in doing hair. In most states the required hours for a nail technician is around 600 hours of training verses the 1500 hours of training to achieve your full cosmetology license.
Your nail technology training may include both theory and hands on learning. The training may cover areas in health and safety, chemistry and even professional attitude. Training may also include:
1. Nail Tips
2. Nail Wraps
3. Airbrushing
4. Nail Artistry
5. Manicuring
6. OPI Sculpture Nails
7. OPI Gel Nails
8. Paraffin Treatments
9. Electric Nail Drill
10. Nail Salon Management
11. Proper Sanitation
12. Pedicures
13. Reflexology
14. Electric Filing
15. Nail Consultant
Nail technology training may prepare you for a career in cosmetology and offers many alternative careers. Your training may prepare you to work in a salon as a pedicurist or manicurist. You may even decide to go into nail artistry, which has become very popular over the past decade. Your training could also prepare you to work as a rep for nail care products or even as a sales rep for a large corporate nail products company. You may even choose to own your own nail care salon, or work in other positions such as a nail technician instructor or possibly a nail product demonstrator. The training you receive may provide a multitude of career paths for you to choose from.
